PemPeople (People Empowering People) was set up in 2010 as a non-profit social enterprise organisation by Founder & Community Enabler – Nicholas Okwulu, who has been delivering and engaging with communities in Southwark and Lambeth, most especially in the Livesey and Coldharbour wards.

The aim of the organisation is to create drive, motivation and solutions from within, in short giving capacity to those residents to deliver the  projects in their communities.

Our Mission

Pempeople’s mission is to promote and achieve increased inclusion of all communities within society, and accomplish effective development and growth of our target communities from within; effectively empowering our target communities to help themselves.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Pempeople’s aims to:

  • Address issues facing disadvantaged communities.
  • Promote inclusion of disadvantaged communities within their wider society.

We continually strive to tackle the inequalities in learning & education, employment, health and wellbeing by promoting and helping increase the inclusion of ethnic minority communities and those groups considered hard to reach. Foremost empowering local communities and residents to improve their lives for the better.

We deliver a wide range of community creative art projects and workshops that encourage disadvantaged people to express themselves creatively, gain confidence and self-esteem, foster team building and working with others in their community and share experiences.
